PANMURE GOLF CLUB LOCAL RULES

1. OUT OF BOUNDS
A ball is out of bounds if it lies: Over any fence of the Course. In or over the trench marked by black and white stakes on the right of the 8th, 10th and 18th holes or on the car park or blaize path between the 1st and 18th holes.

2. PENALTY AREAS
The Buddon Burn and all ditches.

3. ROADS AND PATHS
All roads and paths are integral parts of the Course and the ball should be played as it lies except when a ball lands on the access road behind the 18th tee up to the left side of the 15th fairway or on the road which crosses the 3rd and 16th fairways. These roads have been deemed as immovable obstructions and relief may be taken without penalty (Rule 16.1 applies).

4. YOUNG TREES
Young trees less than one club-length in height, or of any height if staked, are “Ground Under Repair” and relief under Rule 16.1 MUST be taken.

5. IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS
All cottages, buildings, shelters, fixed sprinkler heads, wooden steps, 150-yard marker posts and direction marker posts. Relief from interference may be taken without penalty. However, the fact that the immovable obstruction interferes with the line of play is not in itself interference under this rule, except when the obstruction is a fixed sprinkler head on or within 2 club-lengths of the green of the hole being played in which case relief may be taken provided that if the ball is off the green it is within 2 club-lengths of the obstruction and it is not in a Penalty area or bunker.

HEALTH & SAFETY
For your safety we request that you follow some simple rules:

Do not play a shot when there is any risk of endangering another player, greenkeeper or member of the public. The caravan park residents have the right to access Carnoustie and are often unaware of the dangers that exist on a golf course.

There are a number of blind shots on the course, please do not play until the way is clear.

If you hit a ball into the caravan park adjacent to the 4th and 8th holes, please report the time and location to the professional shop staff.

Please take care when near the burn, the ground can be slippery. Under no circumstances should players or caddies cross onto railway property to retrieve balls.

In the event of a course evacuation, the following signals shall apply: discontinue play immediately = one prolonged note of the klaxon and resumption of play = two short notes of the klaxon, repeated

The health and safety policy document is displayed on the main Clubhouse noticeboard. In the event of any type of accident, including slips, trips, please report the incident to the office / professional shop.
